How do I add a connector to Grok Bot?
It depends on the install method shown on each row. Built-in plugins: select Connect apps in the sidebar, search, add, finish the provider sign-in in the browser, then confirm it shows under Installed. Custom MCP servers: there is no settings form, so tell your Bot in chat, for example βAdd this MCP server: https://β¦/mcpβ. Its tools are available from your next message.
Does the MCP server have to be public?
Yes. A custom MCP endpoint must be public HTTPS, using streamable HTTP or SSE. A localhost address will not work, because the Bot cannot reach your machine. OAuth connectors still ask you to sign in with your own account.
What does an Unknown status mean?
Unknown means we have not re-tested the connector inside Grok Bot on a dated run, so it is not a warning. Verified means we connected it and ran a tool, and Broken means it failed. Where a row says it was seen working, that is a pending re-test, not a Verified result.
